This print design is based on the real place called "SENBON TORII" (SENBON means a thousand.)
in Fushimi Inari Taisha in Kyoto.
Actually, there are more 10,000 torii gates in the mountain.
A torii gate is generally regarded as the gate to the shrine precinct,
which separates the Shinto realm from the real world.
That's why you see some torii gates at the entrance of the shrine ground.
Why are there so many torii gates here?
Because the shrine is dedicated to the god of” business prosperity” as well as "dreams-come-true."
All of the torii here are donations from the general public who thanks the god.
It might bring you lots of luck by only putting it on.
The white (transparent) foxes are considered as divine messengers.
One fox has a key, which shows its will to learn the spirit of God.
The other one has a hand scroll, which is the symbol of wisdom.
