UK saddle leather is the product of
J&F Baker Co Ltd. that is a British established tanner.
It was established in Roman times and has been producing tanned leather using a traditional method.
The wax is deeply penetrated into the fiber of the leather, so the leather becomes
solid and heavy, which makes it strong and good at resisting water.
When it's brand new, you would feel it's too hard, but as you keep using it, it will be softer.
Color: Red Brown
This is the comparison with a new one.
The one looks black is the brand new Red Brown one...
Yes, it looked like this originally.
The color changes this much.
The oil and wax have come out as time goes by and made the color look brighter.
It has become curvy which tells you how much it's been used.
